Congress didn’t win despite good works: Dhruvanarayan

Mysuru, June 4:- “Congress failed to win Chamundeshwari constituency in the assembly election and we respect the mandate of the voters,” said MP Dhruvanarayan at a press meet at Mysuru press club on Monday.

“Though Siddaramaiah had given a corruption-free governance, we couldn’t capitalise on it. Highway works worth Rs 419 crores have been completed at Chamarajanagar and works of Rs 1,300 crore are taking place. Chamarajanagar has witnessed the highest amount of roadworks in the state. The then railway minister Mallikarjun Kharge had provided Rs 1,330 crore funds for Bengaluru – Chamarajanagar railway lane. But the state government couldn’t provide its share which has slowed down the work,” he added.

“Former chief minister Siddaramaiah will organise a meeting to thank voters at Badami on 7 and at Varuna on June 12,” Dhruvanarayan informed.

Rural Congress president Dr B J Vijay Kumar, H A Venkatesh, city president R Murthy and others were present. (MR/KMR).
