Mysuru, September 5:- “Congress is having a desperate time. It is a situation of hitting the final nails in the coffin for the grand old party,” said MLA SA Ramadass.
He was speaking to media persons in the city on Thursday.
“Congress is frightened by the arrest of MLA DK Shivakumar and former Union finance minister P Chidambaram. Destroying public properties is not the right way to protest. If Congress says it has not misused Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Income Tax departments for 72 years, it can make allegations against the Bharatiya Janata Party,” he said.
“It is just a legal proceeding. Shivakumar himself has said he can be punished if he has done anything wrong. He had asked the then speaker KR Ramesh Kumar if he would come to see him in jail. It proves that he was mentally prepared for this,” he added. (MR/KS)
