Congress may expel Mysuru Mayor Bhagyavathi

Mysuru, February 23:- Congress has decided to take strict action against Mysuru Mayor B Bhagyavathi.

Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) has instructed for action against Bhagyavathi, who took support from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal (Secular) to become Mayor.

Sources said she is likely to be expelled from the party. Congress has alleged her anti-party activities have made liable for expulsion before the council meeting to be held on February 27. If she loses the Mayor’s post, she will be the first in the history of Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) to be ousted. (MR/KS).
