“Congress should try to attract youths towards the party in more numbers,” said former minister, KPCC vice president, Prof B K Chandrashekhar
He was speaking at the swearing in ceremony of the Mysuru rural Congress committee’s district president and members.
“39 lakh youths have voted for BJP during the Loksabha elections. They haven’t voted by seeing the party but for Modi. Most of the employees in the IT-BT sector are youths and they should be attracted towards the Congress party. Women should also be given opportunities. Organising the party from the root level is important and it should be given higher priority. Then only Congress can get back to power,” he added.
B N Prashanth took charge as the Mysuru district Congress’ working president. Rural Congress committee president Dr B J Vijay Kumar, MLA Vasu and others were present.
