Congress stages protest against hike in oil prices

Mysuru, June 15:- Krishnaraja Congress Committee and City Youth Congress members staged a protest at a petrol bunk on Chamaraja Double Road here on Tuesday (June 15). They criticised the unscientific rise in prices of petrol and diesel.

They said, “The central government’s wrong approach has put the common man in a lot of hardship. With the hike in oil prices, prices of commodities have also shot up. Many people have lost jobs and are struggling to feed their families.”

Former president of MDCC Bank Chandrashekar, Congress leaders Srinath Bagu, Sunandakumar, Congress Sevadal’s Girsh, U S Ramesh, Dairy Venkatesh, Nataraj, Chandrashekar M, State Youth Congress secretary Deepak Shivanna, city Youth Congress vice-president Sayed Abrar, Devaraj Urs Yuva Congress president Chandru, vice-president Naveen Kempi, youth leader Yeshwanth, city Youth Congress general secretary Manoj N and others were present.
