Cong’s Keshavamurthy may file papers tomorrow

Congress, finally finalised its candidate for the by-election to the Nanjangud Assembly seat. Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Dr G Parameshwar announced Kalale Keshavamurthy’s candidature at a meeting of the party workers held in Nanjangud on Saturday.

Keshavamurthy is likely to file his nomination papers on Monday.

He said “All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Sonia Gandhi and vice president Rahul Gandhi cleared the name of Keshavamurthy for Assembly by-poll in Nanjangud.”

Dr Parameshwar said “The party has taken the by-election as a challenge and called upon the party workers to work hard for the victory. From the last four years, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has introduced several pro-people programmes and the voters will surely bless the Congress candidate,” he added.-NGB
