Constitution Day held at GSSSIETW

Mysuru: GSSSIETW, Mysuru celebrated Constitution Day recently, a day with unique historical significance. It was on this day in 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution which came into effect on January 26, 1950.
Mallikarjuna N L, Advocate was the guest speaker. In his speech,  he gave a brief introduction to the importance of the Constitution Day Celebration. He explained the fundamental rights and Directive principles.

The fundamental duties of citizens were added to the Constitution in 1976 by the 42nd amendment. Followed by this,  he emphasised the importance of fulfilling our responsibilities before preserving our rights. In his speech, he remembered the contribution of Dr. B R Ambedkar who is regarded as the chief architect of the Indian Constitution and is also known as the Father of the Constitution of India.
On this occasion, he administered the “Constitution Day Pledge” to the students and staff, towards resolving all differences among us through dialogue and constitutional means without resorting to physical violence in the case of any dispute. Students wholeheartedly participated to accomplish the pledge. Dr. M Shivakumar, Principal, GSSSIETW, Mysuru, HODs, staff and students were present on this occasion. (MR).
