Mysuru, May 18:- “Earlier physical works were given prominence, but in the recent days, it is the brilliance of the person that matters,” said Dr R S Nagarjuna, Rotary district governor .
He was speaking at Venus Shramajeevi award programme held at Rotary Auditorium, organised by the Rotary Midtown, here on Wednesday.
“We need physical and mental abilities to work. But nowadays, brain work of a person is rated beyond physical work. Everyone is becoming intelligent. We should contribute to the society with good deeds,” he added.
Physical education teacher (retired) Y Nagesh Rao, school van driver N Raju were felicitated with Shramajeevi award.
Rotary Mysuru midtown president Dr K B Harish, secretary A N Aiyanna, Venus Centre owner R Venkatesh and others were present.
