Mysuru, December 17:- Former India cricketer Javagal Srinath has called upon the staff of NCERT to contribute to the welfare of the nation.
“I have also been a part of the University of Mysore. I have several fond memories. I was a student of SJCE and I played a lot of cricket here,” he said.
“When you participate in sports, play freely. Don’t injure your knees. I have faith in you. You will contribute a lot to the nation. Nowadays, BP and sugar have become common. Participate in sports to delay ageing,” he advised.
Vice-Chancellor of the University of Mysore Prof G Hemanth Kumar, director of NCERT Prof Hrishikesh Senapati, principal of RIE Y Srikanth and others were present. (MR/GK)
