The fifth edition of Convergence 3i, an Industry-Institution-Interaction with CII, Mysuru Chapter will be hosted by SDMIMD, Mysuru on September 16 from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
The programme is aimed at sensitising the fresh graduates and final year degree students on the changing dimensions of employer expectations from the fresh graduates who aspire to join them as employees. This programme is entering its fifth year and has been popular among the final year students of the engineering colleges in and around Mysuru as well as fresh graduates.
Convergence 3i started in 2012 with the aim to bring corporate decision makers and the job aspirants to interact and explore how they view each other as employer and job applicant respectively. On the one hand, the employers feel that they need to cut down on the training period for freshly inducted candidates, on the other hand, the job aspirants feel that the work environment is entirely different from what was taught to them. When these views are expressed on the same platform, it may result in the job aspirants preparing themselves better and the employers may have fresh employees better prepared for the work environment.
All fresh graduates and final year degree students for engineering, commerce, science, pharmacy and business studies colleges can attend this event. Entry for the event is free. Request for registration by individual students and the placement officers of degree colleges may be sent by email to [email protected] /[email protected] For more details, call: 0821-2429722, 2429191 between 9 am and 6 pm.
