Mysuru, November 19:- “Future technicians have to prove their skills. The future of the nation is in their skills,” said the chairman of Prasara Bharati, Dr A Suryaprakash.
“I am happy to be part of the convocation of this institution. There is a difference between selecting candidates for a job and industrial service. Several companies have set up their own system of hiring. We can see that in the media as well. Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced skill India scheme to increase the employability of our youths. It encourages self-employment and aims at eradication of poverty. Youths should know how to make use of such opportunities,” he added.
Suttur Mutt Seer Shivarathri Deshikendra Swami distributed medals and certificates to students securing ranks.
Certificates were distributed to 149 MTech students, 96 MBA students and 24 corporate finance students on the occasion.
Dr K Uday Kumar administered the oath.
Executive secretary of JSS Mahavidyapeetha Dr C G Betsurmath, advisor of Technical Education Prof M H Dhananjay, Vice Chancellor Dr B G Sangameshwara, Registrar Dr K S Lokesh and others were present. (MR/GK)
