Cooperation among departments vital to curb child marriages: DC Randeep

Mysuru, July 14:- Cooperation between various government departments is necessary to curb child marriage, said Deputy Commissioner D Randeep.

He was speaking at a review meeting of Women and Child Welfare Department at the DC’s office, here on Thursday.

“The Children Helpline had received 141 calls, out of which 99 are related to child marriage. 63 such child marriages have been stopped,” said Dhananjay, coordinator of Children Helpline.

Deputy director of Women and Child Welfare Department Radha, Padma, Sheela Khare, H R Basappa and others were present.
