CoP Dr Chandragupta asks his men to be cautious

Mysuru, July 15:- Mysuru Commissioner of Police Dr Chandragupta instructed the Garuda staff and city police regarding measures to be taken during Covid-19 pandemic.

“Police officials have to take care of ourselves. Nowadays, more and more cases are getting registered. Some of them are symptomatic and some are asymptomatic. We don’t have to fear but have to get tested. Primary and secondary contacts have to be tracked. If any staff has throat squab for the test, bring it to the notice of inspectors and get quarantined till you receive the result,” he said.

“ACP of Narasimharaja Police, Shivashankar will be the nodal officer. Don’t get throat squab testing done before bringing it to the notice of Shivashankar. We have requested the Deputy Commissioner for separate Covid Care Centre for police officials. It will be ready in some days. Maintain social distancing and wear face masks. 368 police officials in the city have BP, diabetes and other health issues. Aged cops have been home-quarantined. Stay at home till further orders. If people violate rules of quarantine, register FIR,” he said. (MR/KS)
