Mysuru, May 9:- DCP Mahaninga B Nandagavi suspended Mehaboob Halli, a constable at Lashkar Police Station on charges of intruding into the privacy of residents at their houses and illegal video shooting.
The constable was allegedly video shooting through the windows of rooms in the houses when the inmates were asleep, taking advantage of the windows being kept open for breeze. Several residents had given written complaints against this constable’s behaviour following which he has been suspended.
When he was caught red-handed by the residents while video shooting through the windows, they had allegedly beaten him up assuming that he was a thief. He was also detained by the people for not wearing helmet even after it was made mandatory. (KS, NGB)
