CoP’s office shut after staff contracts coronavirus

Mysuru, July 23:- Coronavirus pandemic is giving sleepless nights to the district administration. Even as the authorities are struggling to come to terms with the spiralling coronavirus cases, Mysuru Police Commissioner’s office has reported a positive case. ‘Corona warriors,’ as they are being referred to for their fight against the pandemic, cops are having a tough time with many of their colleagues contracting the virus.

A first division clerk who works at top cop Dr Chandragupta’s office, has reportedly contracted the coronavirus. The entire office and premises has been sealed down and the authorities are in a dilemma whether to sanitise the entire place or not. The decision is left to Dr Chandragupta.

Covid-19 cases are rapidly increasing in the heritage city. On an average, the city is reporting 55-60 cases every day. (MR/KS)
