Coronavirus cases have reduced in Mysuru district: DC Sankar

Mysuru, April 27:- “The number of novel coronavirus cases has been on the decline in the district since a week. We are out of the severity we were facing a week ago,” said the Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G Sankar.

He was speaking to media persons in the city on Sunday.

“The testing of primary and secondary contacts of Jubilant Generics factory has been completed. Samples are being collected in three shifts every day. We are getting the reports of these tested samples as well,” he said.

“The number of positive cases has reduced in the district. We have enough PPE kits and masks. Mysuru district has not received rapid testing kits. Other districts have received the kits already. Along with isolation hospital, we have kept 100 beds ready in ESI Hospital. We have 25 ventilators as well in ESI Hospital. BM Hospital will be used only for quarantining,” he added. (MR/KS)
