Mysuru, May 28:- The coronavirus pandemic has virtually brought the world to a standstill. Various industries, economy and cultural activities are all affected by the pandemic. Now, coronavirus is threatening to impact Mysuru Dasara as well.
The state government is reportedly thinking whether to organise the festival or not. It is said that the government is thinking of giving emphasis to simple Dasara celebration at Mysuru Palace premises. It is reported that the government may permit only Ayudha puja and Banni Mantap puja on Vijaya Dashami. Priests are expected to worship Goddess Chamundeshwari during the 9-day long festival.
The simple Dasara celebrations will help the government to save money and protect people from gathering in large numbers. (MR/KS)
