He was speaking to media persons at his residence in the city on Friday.
“Though the number of coronavirus cases is less in India compared to other countries, we can’t stay idle. We have to follow the rules and regulations of the government. Mysuru district administration has worked effectively in controlling coronavirus. Various organisations and mutts have also played a major role in controlling coronavirus,” he said.
“Media persons have also played an important role in creating awareness among the public. Central and state governments have announced special financial packages for the people who are in need. But it is not easy for the beneficiaries to make use of these packages. They may not be able to provide all the documents asked,” he opined.
“I am helping the people in need as much as I can. This programme will be held apolitically. We will distribute necessary kits to needy on Sunday (May 17) at Mahadeshwara Convention Centre at Paduvarahalli,” he added. (MR/KS)
