Mysuru, March 9:- The coronavirus scare has had its impact on Mysuru Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) yard as well. The prices of vegetables are coming down drastically day by day.
The vegetable prices have been gradually decreasing since March 5. Farmers have expressed their worry over the declining prices of vegetables. The vegetable prices have come down by 70% in a week’s time.
Tomato price has reduced to Rs 5 per kg, onion to Rs 10, brinjal to Rs 3, cauliflower to Rs 3.
Farmers have decided to hold a meeting with the APMC officials over the price drop. APMC president Prabhuswamy has called for a meeting on Tuesday. (MR/KS)
