Corruption charges: Rangappa ready for open debate

Mysuru, March 1:- “Former Chief Minister and senior Congress leader M Veerappa Moily has alleged that irregularities took place at University of Mysore during my tenure. If he thinks I am corrupt,  let him come for an open debate,” challenged former vice chancellor of UoM and JD(S) leader, Prof K S Rangappa at a press meet at a private hotel in the city on Thursday.

“I have a lot of respect for Moily. When he had come to the university, he appreciated my work. At a recent press meet, he has gone on record that I resorted to corrupt practices when I was the vice-chancellor. It has hurt me a lot. I have worked as the vice chancellor for more than seven years. If he is serious about the corruption charges, let Moily come for an open debate anywhere in the next 10 days. I am ready to undergo lie detection test. I have the document of CoD report. Let them check my entire property. I will give two major information on what is happening at KSOU in the coming days,” Prof Rangappa revealed. (MR/KS).
