Courier call proves costly for woman

Mysuru, May 25:- A woman has been allegedly cheated by an unknown person in the name of courier. The anonymous called called up the victim on May 22 to say there was a courier waiting for her. Subsequently, the victim, Nagalakshmi, a resident, was asked to deposit Rs 45,095 in SBI account, bearing number 36047557109.  Without knowing she was being take for a big ride, Nagalakshmi promptly transferred the said amount from her Axis Bank account. There was another shock waiting for the lady. Another call from the same courier company asked Nagalakshmi to deposit Rs 2,55,000 towards the parcel. The caller tried to convince her saying there was gold and 50,000 pounds in the parcel. Getting suspicious, Nagalskhmi tried calling the same number but to no avail. She has filed a complaint at K R police station.
