Court sentences 2013 ATM attack accused to 10 years in prison

Prime News, Karnataka, Crime, Bengaluru, February 2:-The 65th City Civil and Sessions Court on Tuesday (February 2) found Madhukar Reddy, 36, guilty of attacking a bank staffer, Jyothi Uday with a lethal weapon inside an ATM kiosk of Corporation Bank and sentenced him to 10 years in prison.

On November 19, 2013, the accused Madhukar Reddy had attacked a bank employee Jyothi Uday when she was inside an ATM kiosk withdrawing money. The crime took place in Corporation Bank ATM at Corporation Circle in Bengaluru. The entire incident that was captured on a CCTV camera had left people in shock given the brutality of the crime.

Following several years of investigation, the police were finally successful in nabbing Madhukar.

It is said that Madhukar is a resident of Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh. (NAV, Inputs: Agencies)
