Mysuru, March 4:- With the rising number of coronavirus cases across the world and few cases being reported from the country, the people out of fear have started taking precautionary measures in right earnest. The first citizen of Mysuru, Mayor Tasneem Bano along with her deputy C Sridhar and other corporators took the initiative to wear face masks before entering the council hall to attend a meeting here on Wednesday.
As of now there is no coronavirus threat in Mysuru. However, the mayor and deputy mayor surprised everyone by wearing masks at the Mysuru City Corporation premises. Indeed this is a good way of promoting health awareness among the citizens of Mysuru.
Meanwhile, the District Health Officer Dr R Venkatesh has clarified that there is no need for the people to panic over novel coronavirus threat in Mysuru. (HN, NGB)
