Covid-19: Mysuru registers 45 new cases, 22 recoveries; tally spikes to 53,684

Mysuru, February 11:- Mysuru district on Wednesday (February 10) registered 45 new Covid-19 cases and 22 new discharges, taking the tally of positive cases to 53,684 and total recoveries to 52,438, according to a bulletin from the Health and Family Welfare Department.

As many as 219 cases of the reported 53,684 positive coronavirus cases are active and stable in the district.

The district for the third consecutive day has not recorded any fatalities and the death toll linked to the coronavirus disease stands at 1027 till Wednesday evening.

In Mysuru district, 939 beneficiaries were vaccinated on Wednesday out of 3585 intended beneficiaries in 23 sessions against targetted 25 sessions with 26 percent coverage. A total of 8,33,067 samples have been tested in Mysuru district till Wednesday evening, 3223 samples on Wednesday alone.

Three districts have reported no new coronavirus cases and fatality, while 18 districts registered their cases in single digit, 8 have reported in double digit and Bengaluru Urban in triple digit on Wednesday.

All the three fatalities on Wednesday were reported from Bengaluru Urban with Severe Acute Respiratory Illness (SARI) from breathlessness, a 52-year-old man, 69-year-old man and 82-year-old woman succumbed to the disease. (NAV
