Mysuru, April 17:- Assistant Director-General of Police Dr Parashivamurthy on Thursday visited Nanjangud town to assess security measures to contain spread of coronavirus amid the nationwide lockdown.
The Union Health Ministry has declared Nanjangud as “red zone” in the country following the increase in Covid-19 positive cases.
He visited the quarantined areas of the town and also inspected Jubilant Generics factory. He held discussion with MLA B Harshavardhan at Morarji Desai School.
IGP of Southern Range Vipul Kumar, District Superintendent of Police C B Ryshyanth, Nanjangud DSP Prabhakar Rao Shinde, Tahsildar Mahesh and others were present. (MR/KS)
