Mysuru, June 30:- Karnataka State Unaided Schools and Colleges Teaching and Non-teaching Staff Association staged a protest on Tuesday (June 30), demanding compensation for teaching staff.
The protesters, who had gathered in front of the deputy commissioner’s (DC) office here, said that the staff of schools and colleges have lost their livelihood and become penniless. They said that the government should intervene and hold a meeting to solve the issue. They requested the government to provide free treatment to teaching and non- teaching staff if anyone tests positive for coronavirus.
The association members also urged the government to provide compensation to teaching and non-teaching staff from their benevolent fund. They also requested the government to waive off the fee of colleges from universities.
