Covid rules violators pay fine

Mysuru: The city police have taken legal action against those who have been violating the lockdown curbs issued by the government regarding Covid-19 and its new variant Omicron virus control.
The Karnataka government issued the guideline on January 4 in view of the spike in coronavirus cases which is in force from 10 pm to 5 am.
The Mysuru City Police have been inspecting the public plying at all places in city limits during which, in violation of the government’s weekend curfew guidelines, police have seized 6 two-wheeler riders who were seen moving around unnecessarily.
Around 289 cases have been registered at the police stations and over Rs 55750 fine on spot for not following the covid guidelines.
Mysore City Police is taking strict action every day in connection with the implementation of COVID-19 Omicron rules and weekend curfew rules and the public has followed COVID-19 rules to cooperate with the city police in the control of spread.” said the Mysuru  Police Commissioner Dr. Chandra GAID.
