CPI demands probe into Rafale fighter jets deal

Mysuru, October 24:- The Communist Party of India (CPI) has urged for thorough investigation into Rafale fighter jets deal and alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was indulging in corruption. The party members staged protest in front of District Law Courts here on Wednesday.

“There was a condition of transfer of technology in the Rafale deal made during UPA-2 government. Now there is no mention of that condition in the new deal. What happened to the ‘Make in India’ slogan of Prime Minister Modi? He had assured corruption-free government and not let others to do, but now has made way for his friend Anil Ambani to loot money. The people of India are questioning PM Modi about his involvement in the deal. He is answerable to the public,” the protesters said.

Joint secretary HB Ramakrishna, treasurer Basavaraju and others were present. (KS, NGB)
