CPK’s 77th birthday celebrated

To mark his birthday, a special edition of Savigannada paper on Dr C P Krishnakumar was released on the occasion

The Hoysala Kannada Sangha and Savigannada Parka Bala­ga, Mysuru, jointly organised a programme to celebrate the 77 birthday of noted ‘Aerate’s Dr C P Krishnakumar on Saturday.

Dr Krishnakumar was fe­licitated on the occasion for his contributions to the field of Kannada literature. A special edition of Savigannada paper on Dr Krishnakumar was re­leased on the occasion which highlighted his contribution over the years.

Speaking on the occasion, litterateur Prof K Bhairavmur­thy said that life and writings of Dr Krishnakumar was an example to be emulated by all. His contribution to Kan­nada literature was invaluable for which he has been duly awarded. He further said that Dr Krishnakumar’s writings portrayed issues affecting the society at large.

Dr Kabbinale Vasantha Bharadwaj said that though CPK is 77 years old his enthu­siasm has not ebbed.

“His writings are unique and exude clarity of thoughts,” he added.
