Crackers of higher decibels have been banned: Deputy Commissioner Randeep

Mysuru, October 16:- “The district administration has banned the manufacture and sales of crackers of higher decibels to protect the environment as per the Environment (Protection) Act of 1986, 1999 and 2000,” said Deputy Commissioner D Randeep.

“The sales of crackers of more than 125 and 145 decibels have been banned completely. The sales and bursting of crackers is banned from 10 pm to 6 am as per the Supreme Court order. Sale of crackers is banned at the premises and grounds of schools, residential and industrial areas,” he added.
