Creative art therapy for children held by AIISH

“Take your life in the right direction through communication skills and time management,” urged Dr Ganapathy Sachidananda Swamiji, founder Pontiff, Avadhoota Datta Peetam, on Monday.

He was speaking after inaugurating the five-day national workshop on ‘creative art therapy for children for special needs: when words are not enough’ organised by All India Institute of Speech And Hearing (AIISH) at its premises.

Speaking on the occasion, Ganapathy Sachidananda Swamiji said, “We all commit mistakes without knowing when and where we do it and we also do the same mistakes when it comes to our food habits.One must take care of his food habits and find solutions for those hazardous habits instead of blaming god when it’s too late. Time is precious. Through time management and communication skills one can streamline his life and take it in the right direction.”

About the workshop: All India Institute of Speech And Hearing held an activity of special use of music for Educational Readiness and Up building (SUMERU) and conducted a workshop on ‘Creative Art Therapy’ for children for special needs when words are not enough.

It has been proved that through music and alternative therapies for children and adults, one’s behaviour improves by 32%, parenting stress is reduced by 44%, touch feel improves by 49% and sensory problems by 38%.

The programme was presided over by Prof Asha Yathiraj, I/C Director, AIISH, Mysuru.
