Crime prevention month; students hold awareness rally

Mysuru, December 11:- School children of the city carried out a march on the major streets on Wednesday to create awareness among the public as a part of ‘crime prevention month’ and requested the public to help in crime prevention.

Students of St Mary’s School, Chamundipuram, carried out a march on Ramanuja Road, Agrahara and other places of the city in association with Krishnaraja Police officials and staffs.

“Women should be careful while walking alone in deserted areas. We have to be careful about chain snatchers. Thieves may enter your house on some pretext. Don’t let them inside the house. If anyone is found involved in anti-social activities, crime, inform the police to control it,” said police inspector Srinivas.

Corporator MV Ramaprasad flagged off the march. PSI Rajesh, ASI Suresh, Anil K Shankapal, Mahesh, Vishakanta, Nalini and others were present. (MR/KS)
