Darshan fans adopt two leopards on his birthday at Mysore Zoo

Mysuru, February 18:-Sri Chamarejendra Zoological Gardens or Mysore Zoo in a press release on February 15, said that M/s Akhila Karnataka Darshan Thogudeepa Abhimanigala Sangha, Bengaluru and M/s Karunada Bhoopathi Challenging Star Darshan Abhimanigala Sangha, Chennapattana, have adopted two leopards at the zoo for a period of one year from February 16, 2019 to February 15, 2020 by making payment of Rs 35,000 on the occasion of his birthday.

Thanking the noble gesture by Darshan fans, the zoo management said, “This noble cause and their participation will definitely inspire other corporate bodies and charitable institutions for taking part in this animal adoption scheme. The Mysore Zoo also appreciated the patronage from M/s Akhila Karnataka Darshan Thogudeepa Abhimanigala Sangha, Bengaluru and M/s Karunada Bhoopathi Challenging Star Darshan Abhimanigala Sangha, Chennapattana and request their continued support and involvement in zoo’s joint conservation efforts.”

The following persons have also adopted the animals at Mysore Zoo under “Adoption of animals” scheme by paying prescribed fee, according to a separate press release from the zoo.

Jagat Narayan Chaudhury from Pune has adopted king cobra for Rs 3500 for one year from January 23, 2019 to January 22, 2020. Kshithika Gowda from Bengaluru has adopted love bird by paying Rs 1000 for one year from February 14, 2019 to February 13, 2020, while Balasubramanian AV from Mysuru has adopted love bird by paying a fee of Rs 1000 from February 13, 2019 to February 12, 2020 and Department of Zoology, Teresian College, Mysuru, has adopted common langur by paying prescribed fee of Rs 10,000 for one year from February 14, 2019 to February 13, 2020.
