Mysuru, October 24:- Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa is scheduled to visit Mysuru on October 26 to take part in the Dasara festival 2020.
Yediyurappa will arrive by helicopter from Bengaluru to the heritage city on Monday at 12.20 pm and will proceed to Suttur Mutt by road, at the foot of Chamundi Hill.
At 2.45 pm, the chief minister will arrive at Mysuru Palace, and between the auspicious time of 2.59 pm and 3.20 pm, he will offer special puja and flowers to Nandi Dwaja at Balarama Gate of the Palace. In between 3.40 and 4.15 pm, the Chief Minister will offer special puja and flowers to the presiding deity of Mysuru, Goddess Chamundeshwari, inside the Palace in view of the Covid-19 pandemic, to mark the inauguration of Jamboo Savari.
In normal times, the Dasara procession is held in a grand manner through a 5 km route from the Mysuru Palace and culminates at Bannimantap Ground in the city. Later, the Torchlight Parade is held.
CM Yediyurappa will leave for Bengaluru in the evening after attending the inaugural event. (NAV, GK)
