Prime News, Karnataka, Festival, Mysuru, September 15:- Like last year, this year’s world-famous Mysuru Dasara will be simple and will be confined to Mysuru Palace. The Dasara sub-committees have been restricted to six. The festivities will be held from October 7 to 15. Deputy Commissioner Dr Bagadi Gautham on Tuesday (September 14) formed six sub-committees to prepare for the Dasara festivities.
Additional Deputy Commissioner B S Manjunathaswamy is the special officer of the welcome committee. MCC’s additional Commissioner M J Roopa is the working president and Zonal Commissioner M Nanjundaiah is the secretary.
CESCom executive director Jayavibhavaswamy is assistant special officer with executive engineer Nagesh as working president and engineer B K Yogesh as secretary.
Mysuru Police Commissioner Dr Chandragupta is the special officer with DCP Pradeep Gunte as working president and Devaraja ACP M N Shashidhar as secretary.
Zilla Panchayat CEO Yogeesh A M is assistant special officer with Rangayana’s joint director V N Mallikarjunaswamy as working president and Kannada and Culture Department’s assistant director H Chennappa as secretary.
Cleaning and maintenance committee
MCC Commissioner G Lakshmikantha Reddy is assistant special officer, MCC health officer Dr D G Nagaraj is working president and health officer K Hemanthraju is secretary.
Mysuru Urban Development Authority Commissioner Dr D B Natesh is assistant special officer, Industries and Commerce Department’s joint director D K Lingaraju is working president while District Industries Centre’s Meghana is the secretary.
All the sub-committees will have to follow instructions issued by Dasara working committee. They have been instructed to use the Dasara funds judiciously and properly. (MR/KS)
