The excitement of the public who had come in large numbers to witness the annual Dasara exhibition soon drained out as they saw empty stalls staring at them. In total disregard to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s advice to complete the stalls before the inauguration, authorities seem to be groping in the dark.
That apart, the annual Dasara exhibition was inaugurated by the Primary and Secondary Education Minister Tanveer Sait and the District In-charge Minister Dr H C Mahadevappa at the exhibition grounds on Saturday.
During Dasara, the exhibition ground is home to numerous stalls. As many as 143 stalls are put up at the ground that includes amusement park, mono train, textile shops, jewellery shops and food stalls. The exhibition will be held till December 26. A special arrangement has been made to park 500 cars, 800 two-wheelers and 30 buses.
This year’s main attraction will be a replica of ‘Amarnath Yatra’ which will give the visitors a virtual feel of visiting Amarnath shrine.
