Mysuru, September 19:- “As part of Mysuru Dasara 2019, the film festival will be held from September 29 to October 3 for five days. Chief minister BS Yediyurappa will inaugurate the film festival on September 29 at Kalamandir in the city. District in-charge Minister V Somanna, actor ‘Golden Star’ Ganesh, Ashika Ranganath and others will be present,” said Dasara deputy special officer Girish at a press meet held at News and Public Relations Department on Wednesday.
“National and international movies will be screened at Inox at Mall of Mysuru in the city. If one buys a pass worth Rs 400, he or she can watch 60 movies. One day pass costs Rs 100 which can be used to watch 4 movies. Screenplay workshop, short film competition is being organised for the first time. The screenplay workshop will be held for three days from September 20 to 22 at Vijnana Bhavan in Manasagangothri. Somanna will inaugurate it,” he added.
“National award-winning directors P Sheshadri, BS Lingadevaru, B Suresh will conduct seminars and lectures. Students have to pay Rs 200 and public Rs 400 for the workshop,” he informed.
