“The fine arts and handicrafts exhibition will be conducted at Kalamandir from October 1 to October 11. The exhibition will be conducted by the fine arts and handicrafts subcommittee in association with Karnataka Shilpakala Academy and Karnataka Fine arts Academy,” Dr M Mahesh, Commissioner of MUDA.
He was addressing the press meet organised by the Dasara fine arts and handicrafts subcommittee held at Vartha Bhavan.
“The exhibition will include 8 forms of fine arts including painting, sculptures, drawing, graphics, photographs, traditional paintings and sculptures done by professionals and amateur artists. A selection committee will be formed to identify and select the art for the exhibition, which will be conducted in Kalamandir,” he said.
“Along with that, competitions will be conducted for children by the subcommittee. Rangoli, body art, painting and other competitions will be held for the children. The competitions will be held in the above mentioned art forms for the professionals and amateurs,” he added.
