DC phone-in programme: Public grievances pour in

Mysuru, November 22:- “Sir, we don’t have street lights. Sir, scraps are dumped on roads. Sir, garbages are thrown everywhere in our area.” The list is endless.

The above are the samples of public grievances that poured in during the phone-in programme by deputy commissioner Abhiram G Sankar held at DC office on Thursday 9 am to 10 am.

People have requested the DC to get their road, drainage and other problems solved. Villagers of Varuna village requested the DC for khata for the government school. Responding to their request, the DC assured of the getting the khata done for the school as soon as possible. Several people complained about the lake being encroached. A resident of Ramakrishna Nagar requested the DC for streetlights in their area. The DC instructed the MCC official present to get the street lights fixed at Ramakrishna Nagar.

The deputy commissioner gave a solution to several problems on the spot and instructed the officials to solve the remaining problems.
