DC Rohini Sindhuri’s dictatorial attitude unacceptable: MLA Sa Ra Mahesh

Mysuru, November 28:-  Janata Dal (Secular) MLA from K R Nagar, Sa Ra Mahesh has raised doubts over delay in the case related to the sudden transfer of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer B Sharath from Mysuru. Incidentally, Sharath was transferred to Mysuru as the Deputy Commissioner in the last week of August but was transferred again from Mysuru within one month of taking charge. Questioning the state government move, Sharath had approached Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT).

Strangely though, the hearing of the case is getting postponed for some reason or the other.

Mysuru DC Rohini Sindhuri

Talking to reporters here on Saturday, Mahesh said, “On an earlier occasion, the present DC of Mysuru, Rohini Sindhuri, who had approached the CAT over her transfer from Hassan district years back, had got the verdict in no time. But Sharath’s case is mired in doubts. Only on Friday (November 27), Hunsur MLA H P Manjunath and MLC Raghu Achar had a verbal duel with the DC. I decry Rohini’s dictatorial attitude.”

Training his guns on Sindhuri, Mahesh said, “Her tricks will not work in Mysuru district. If she is really interested, she can enter politics but can’t take us for granted. If Manjunath has some grouse against the DC, it is not without a reason. She can’t hold meetings while sidelining the MLAs. As DC, it is her duty to take everyone into confidence. She will be responsible if anything goes wrong.”

Mahesh added, “At the Karnataka Development Programme (KDP) review meeting which is usually chaired by the minister, the DC is not supposed to sit next to him. She is totally ignoring the protocol. Even the Chief Secretary is not supposed to sit next to the minister.” (MR/KS)
