DC Sankar asks CSC to work more effectively

Mysuru, March 3:- Progress review meeting of 7th Financial Census was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G Sankar on Monday. The census was handed over to Common Service Centre (CSC). The progress of the census so far was explained to the deputy commissioner.

The deputy commissioner said that there are more than 7 lakh families in the district out of which only 27,000 families were covered in the census so far. He said that 468 workers have been appointed for the census and only 84 are effectively working. He said that it requires 1,000 workers to get the census completed effectively. He said that complaints by public against CSC are increasing day by day and instructed officials to work with discipline.

Statistics officer N Krishnamurthy, M Prakash, ASO Dakshayini, joint director of Education Department KG Rajendra, DDPI Panduranga and others were present. (MR/KS)
