DC Sankar holds discussion on controlling coronavirus

Mysuru, July 14:- Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G Sankar held a meeting with officials and community leaders regarding the measures to control coronavirus pandemic in the district at Zilla Panchayat Hall here on Monday (July 14).

The Deputy Commissioner instructed the authorities to identify coronavirus-affected areas and take necessary measures. He said that the team of district administration is visiting homes to suggest Covid-19 test for those who have symptoms.

He said that the testing will be increased at Rajendra Nagar, Bannimantap, Shanthi Nagar and other areas in Narasimha Raja Constituency.

For the first time, Mysuru district administration and Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) have decided to identify cases and get the patients treated indoor. He requested the public to cooperate to control the spread of the virus.

DCP Dr A N Prakash Gowda said that the Police Department is committed to the decisions taken by the district administration. He said that the department would appoint officials in lockdown areas on receiving information.

MCC Commissioner Gurudutta Hegde, Zilla Panchayat CEO Prashanth Kumar Mishra, MCC health officer Dr Nagaraj, Dr Jayanth, DDPI Dr Panduranga, Councillor Ayub Khan and others were present. (MR/KS)
