Delay in changing transformers; farmers lay siege to CESCom office

Mysuru, June 30:- Farmers of T Narasipur stormed CESCom office on Friday for faulty transformers which are affecting their water pump sets.

The protesters shouted slogans against CESCom and state government. They alleged that the crops are withering due to the negligence of the CESCom officials. They took a swipe at AEE Sajid. He said that he has just come to T Narasipur and promised to look into the problems.

The farmers also protested in front of the office of Irrigation Department and urged the authorities to release water for crops from July 1. They handed over a request letter to AE Mahesh.

Athahalli Devaraj, Kuruburu Siddesh, Kiragasuru Shankar, district president Somashankar, Prasad Naik, Kuruburu Basappa, and others were present. (MR/KS).
