Delhi: Bag with IED found at Ghazipur flower market; defused

Prime News, National (New Delhi), Jan 14:- An unattended bag suspected to be containing an IED was found at Delhi’s Ghazipur flower market Friday morning. It was, however, successfully defused by a Bomb Disposal Squad.

According to the fire department officials, a call was received around 10.20 am regarding an unattended bag in the Ghazipur flower market area after which one fire engine was rushed to the spot.

“Based on the information received, an IED has been recovered,” Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana said.

Later, officials from the Special Cell of Delhi Police, NSG’s bomb detection and disposal team reached the spot. The bomb squad defused it successfully on the spot.  (MR, Inputs: Agencies).
