Dengue effect: Officials visit Neelakanta Nagar

Mysuru, June 6:- Dengue fever has hit Nanjanagud hard this time. More than 100 patients have been diagnosed with dengue and three people have already lost their lives. Official apathy, it seems, has angered the localities. Responding to complaints,  health officials  visited Neelakanta Nagar for first-hand information on the epidemic.

Nanjangud has been relling under dengue. Three people by name Rihana, Imra Fatima and Riyaz have died because of dengue. Officials, who visited Neelakanta Nagar, were shocked to see the messy conditions prevailing in Neelakanta Nagar. City Council Commissioner is the reason behind this problem, said tahsildar Dayanand. Narayan of Dalit Sangharsha Samiti took a jibe at the tahsildar for trying to pass the buck. THO Kalavati and other officials were present on the occasion. (MR/KS, SN)
