Devu murder case: Manja’s role to be probed

 The city police will investigate the role of Manja in the sensational murder of Devu that happened in Paduvarahalli two months ago.

Manja who has been sentenced to life for his role in Hunsur double murder case in 2008 is been brought to Mysuru from Hindalga jail in Belagaavi by a team led by Mandi Mohalla Police inspector Talawar.

According to sources, the team is on way to Belagavi to get Manja for investigation. Earlier, Jayalakshmipuram police officials had sought Manja’s custody after they learnt about his alleged involvement in Devu’s murder.

“We have learnt about his involvement in Devu’s murder which is yet to be ascertained. We had asked the court for his custody for further investigations which will begin once he arrives,” a police officer said.

The sources told City Today that Manja would be brought to Mysuru on Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning.
