Dhruvanarayan alleges misuse of ED and I-T depts by BJP

Mysuru, September 3:- Former Member of Parliament R Dhruvanarayan has condemned the Bharatiya Janata Party, saying the party is misusing Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Income Tax (I-T) department against Congress leaders.

He was speaking at a press meet held at Jaladarshini Guest House here on Tuesday. He was responding to the statement by DCMs Govinda Karajola and Dr Ashwath Narayan who are apparently saying Congress leader D K Shivakumar is being targeted for helping Gujarat Congress MLAs in Karnataka some years back.

“They carried out a raid on the house of Shivakumar just two days after Gujarat Rajya Sabha polls. Congress is ready for mid-term elections. Ashwath Narayan has no ethics to speak about Shivakumar. He is made DCM for succeeding in ‘Operation Kamala.’ JD(S) Srinivas Gowda had alleged BJP leaders offered him Rs 5 crore to see the back of H D Kumaraswamy government. They are targeting Congress leaders now. It clearly shows how they are misusing the power,” he said.

“GDP was never this low in the past 6 years. Let them not create two-crore jobs, let them first protect the existing industries. Shivakumar has earned well in business. There should not be vendetta politics. Chief minister B S Yediyurappa had told he wouldn’t do it, but it is continuing. We don’t have any groups in Congress. Shivakumar is a major troubleshooter for Congress. He won’t be neglected in the party. We will face the next elections without any coalition,” he added.

Congress city president Vijay Kumar, Venkatesh and others were present. (MR/KS).
