Heartfulness Institute and Vijay Foundation have organised a festival of meditation ‘Dhyanotsava’ at Sivananda Jnanalaya in the city from February 1 to 3.
Meditation reflects our consciousness. Through meditation, we get the opportunity to look deep into ourselves. The festival focuses on how to expand our consciousness through heartfulness relaxation and guided meditation, rejuvenate ourselves by unwinding the mind and connect with our inner self by listening to the heart’s voice.
The meditation with yogic transmission will be conducted at 6:30 am, 11 am, 4 pm and 6:30 pm on all three days. Experts on various aspects of well being and meditation will address the gathering along with presentations, video shows and talks. The speakers include Swami Nityastananda of Ramakrishna Ashram on ‘meditation for spiritual growth,’ Prof Shivaram Malaya (Shiva Yogi) will deliver the keynote address, Dr B R Pai on ‘meditation for self development,’ Dr Anil Sangli and Sripad Sangli on ‘brain, mind and meditation,’ Dr K K Subramani on ‘meditation in the light of Upanishads,’ Jayaram Haravu on ‘meditation in the light of Bhagavad Gita,’ Dr Poornima Madhusudhan on ‘meditation to enhance our health,’ N S Nagaraj on ‘uniqueness of heartfulness meditation,’ Dr K Chidananda Gowda on ‘importance of meditation in modern life’ and Gagan Polanki on ‘miracles of meditation.’ More details may be had on cell: 94494 45641.
