Disqualified MLAs, BJP our target in by-elections: Siddaramaiah

Mysuru, November 18:- “Disqualified MLAs and the Bharatiya Janata Party are our target in the by-elections,” said opposition party leader and former chief minister Siddaramaiah. “I complained to the speaker against them, made our lawyer argue and got them disqualified,” he revealed.

Speaking to the media in the city on Sunday, he said,”A few disqualified MLAs were boasting of revealing my wrongdoings. They said that it is just a trailer. Then why have they not revealed anything yet? They could not reveal anything because there is nothing to reveal.”  “I complained against the rebel MLAs to the speaker, appointed a lawyer against them and got them disqualified. They are disappointed by this and are speaking nonsense. Disqualified MLAs and BJP are our targets in the by-elections,” he added.

“Some are saying that they will develop the constituency after becoming a minister if they win the by-elections. They wouldn’t have told that if they had some self-respect. Supreme Court also upheld the disqualification of MLAs. Now, people will decide on their future. Why didn’t they develop the constituency when they were public representatives? Now, A H Vishwanath is speaking of Hunsur district. Why didn’t he propose Hunsur district during the Assembly polls? Now, he is playing a drama of dividing the district. People won’t believe the drama of disqualified MLAs,” he added.

“Congress will face the election under mass leadership. Our target is to win 15 constituencies. We will win at least 12 constituencies. Congress party has no misunderstanding or rebellion,” he added. (MR/KS)
