Mysuru, September 19:- “The Mysuru Clubs’ Association have come forward to provide succour to the flood affected people by distributing relief kits on September 21,” said the president of Heritage Club Marigowda at a press meet held at Mysuru Press Club on Wednesday.
“The recent rains and flash floods in north Karnataka has affected scores of people. Lakhs of people have lost their homes. Clubs of the city are united to help the people affected by floods and are distributing kits to 650 families of Pattadakallu and surrounding villages in Badami taluk with guidance from the district administration on September 21. The kit worth Rs 2,000 includes four vessels, plates, cups, spoons, rice spoon, plastic bucket, mug and other requirements,” he said.
“The Cosmopolitan Club, Vontikoppal Club, Vijayanagar Sports Club and the Heritage Club are jointly organising this,” he added.
Association president Subramanya, C Narayana Gowda, T Girish Prasad, HR Murthy, secretaries H N Jayapal, Puttaswamy Gowda and others were present. (KMR, NGB)
